'Stanley Styx and the Shooting Star' is a comic concept I'm developing.

Everything's barebones right now, and is likely to be changed in the future.

SSATSS is about STAN, a washed-up guy in his mid-20's who cosplays to cope with his shitty minimum-wage job, and the little alien girl who crashes into his backyard during a meteor shower. He's really not equipped to be dealing with a kid, but he can't just ignore her...

SOAPIE is a sweet girl who came from outer space! She's also just a little kid, who has wants and needs and throws a tantrum when she doesn't get ice cream before dinner. She hasn't known Stan for very long, but she already knows she's going to love it here.

 Suddenly, Stan's life has gone from a complete mess to even more of a complete mess. In addition to dealing with all his usual problems, now he's juggling Soapie and all the wonderful responsibilities that come with her. Just what he needed right now.

As I said, this comic is still in its very early stages. Only the two main characters have been fleshed out so far, and the story is only a short list of bullet points scribbled in a notebook.

I don't usually use regular human characters in my work, so creating this story offers a nice change of pace!
